The second generation of the sports utility vehicle BMW X3 (F25), went on sale in 2010. The updated car is more significant than its predecessor (E83). The front and rear wheels’ extensive track provides a good combination of stability and agility of the car, which also enhanced by using a 5-link rear suspension and dynamic control system. The X3’s wheelbase has increased from 2,795 to 2,810 mm, and length has increased from 4,564 to 4,652 mm, so the new X3 is almost the same size as the first-generation X5. All this made it possible to significantly expand the valuable interior space, especially for the rear passengers’ legs. The new interior with improved spatial and ergonomic solutions, further enhances the crossover’s comfort and functionality. One of the features of the BMW X3 is the “clever storage concept”, including all sorts of little things: sizeable open storage compartments in the doors, practical cup holders, two lockable glove boxes in the front, compartments in the centre armrests (front – with a lid). The rear seat backrest folds down in a 40:20:40 ratio for greater functionality. The luggage compartment has a capacity of 550 litres, and with the rear seats folded down, the storage space increases to 1,600 litres.
